1 lb. organic ground beef
2 small organic purple onion, finely chopped
8 ample leaves of basil
4 teaspoons ketchup
4 thinly sliced kumato tomatoes
4 slice Jarlsburg cheese
4 leaves of organic green leaf lettuce
2 gherkin pickles, sliced
mayonnaise, to taste
4 set hamburger rolls
1. In a medium mixing bowl combine ground beef, cheese, onion, basil and ketchup. Mix well and shape beef mixture into 4 hamburger patties.
2. Either preheat your charcoal grill or get your skillet on the stove ready. Once hot place your patties over the flame over high heat. Cook to desired doneness, only flipping once.
3. Arrange hamburger, bottom bun, lettuce, tomato slices, hamburger, red peppers, pickle, mayonnaise and top bun.
Optional burger seasoning formula:
For every kilo of ground beef mix in,
1 tsp Season-All seasoned salt
1 tsp ground black pepper
2 tsp worchestershire sauce
& last but not least:
1 tsp granulated Garlic powder
Mix into the ground beef in a big bowl, then let it sit covered for at least a half an hour before making into patties. This serves 2 purposes, first: it gives the meat time to absorb the spices, second: it brings your meat closer to room temperature, which makes it cook better.
